It is a unique project of cooperation between employers and the non-governmental non-profit sector in Slovakia intended to facilitate employment in the HORECA sector for the people coming to Slovakia from non-EU countries. The project offers summarized, full-scale and well-arranged information for both employers and employees to make the whole process of getting a job and employment easier. Thanks to the cooperation with project partners, it also provides a link to the job vacancies database. Currently, the HORECA sector registers 12 000 job vacancies.
Horeca in Slovakia
There are more than 20,000 HORECA employers in Slovakia, and more than 90% of them are micro, small or medium-sized enterprises. In the period before the pandemic, more than 110,000 employees worked in this sector, together with other services, more than 160,000 people, which represents 6,2% of the total number of employees in the Slovak Republic. Work in HORECA businesses is often suitable even for people without relevant education or work experience. 62% of HORECA employees are women.
